Jimmy Kimmel slams Trump over his ongoing war with Twitter

Donald Trump clearly loves using Twitter — he tweeted so much during his impeachment trial that he even broke a record — but that doesn't mean he likes Twitter itself.

On Thursday, after the platform fact-checked two of the president's tweets, Trump signed an executive order targeting the legal protections afforded to social media.

"In a nutshell, the president is mad at an app on his phone, and is using the power of his office to retaliate," says Jimmy Kimmel in the clip above. "This is what's on his mind as the death toll from a virus is over 100,000 now and people are rioting in the streets."

Kimmel then proceeds to ask the obvious question: If Trump hates Twitter so much, why doesn't he stop using it?

"He can't," Kimmel says, "because he loves it. He loves mashing those angry little thumbs."

Given that Twitter flagged another of Trump's tweets on Friday morning (this time for glorying violence), we can't imagine the president will be letting this one lie anytime soon.
