When we were 12 years old we were just trying to make it through a day at school.

This kid is up on stage just casually shredding some nu metal.

Tye Trujillo -- the son of Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo -- officially made his touring debut in Bogota with Korn (yes, they're still around). And he has clearly inherited his father's excellent long metal hair. The person who posted this YouTube video said Robert Trujillo was watching his son from the sidelines and grinning from ear to ear.

Trujillo is filling in for Korn's bassist Fieldy, who can't make it on the Latin American tour. But Fieldy might have his work cut out for him as it looks like people are really, really getting used to Tye.

Rock on, kid.
