During his chat with Jimmy Kimmel on Tuesday, the Curb Your Enthusiasm creator shared an anecdote about the time he was invited to Kimmel's house for dinner — and then accidentally showed up a week early.

The resulting text message exchange – which Kimmel pulls up on screen for everyone to read – is nothing short of peak David.
