Lin-Manuel Miranda really wants you to donate to Planned Parenthood

Lin-Manuel Miranda really, really wants you to make a donation to the Planned Parenthood Federation of America and with good reason.

Turns out, his mother Dr. Luz Towns-Miranda is on the national board of directors of the Planned Parenthood Action Fund, the organization's nonpartisan political arm. And considering that President-elect Donald Trump could cut the organization off from taxpayer money in 2017, Planned Parenthood needs more help than ever.

So Miranda and fundraising platform Prizeo teamed up to offer a major three-show Hamilton package for one lucky donor. The winning donor will receive tickets to show performances in New York City, Chicago and San Francisco, plus airfare and hotel accommodations.

But even those who don't win the grand prize can still take home Hamilton merchandise -- think shirts, hats, signed LPs -- in thanks for donations.

In the exclusive clip above, Miranda talks more about his fundraising campaign and the progress it's made in the weeks since its launch.
