Jewel in Australia's famous export crown Margot Robbie has finally commented on that creepy/horny piece written about her in the latest issue of Vanity Fair.

The actress appeared on The Project last night and didn't hold back on calling the interview and subsequent piece "really weird." Which it really was. As she puts it, “I remember thinking, ‘That was a really odd interview, I don’t know how that’s going to come out.'"

Need a reminder? Here's the opening paragraph:

"America is so far gone, we have to go to Australia to find a girl next door ... She is 26 and beautiful, not in that otherworldly, catwalk way but in a minor knock-around key, a blue mood, a slow dance. She is blonde but dark at the roots. She is tall but only with the help of certain shoes. She can be sexy and composed even while naked but only in character."

Author Rich Cohen also said in the piece that Australia was like America 50 years ago, which is only O.K. when we say it.

But don't worry, Robbie is proud of her homeland for jumping to her defence, telling The Project, "I thought ‘don’t mess with the Aussies, don’t you mess with the Aussies -- look what happens when you mess with Australia!’”
