Martin Short's Conan O'Brien interview escalates into a brutal 45-minute roast

Whenever Martin Short is being interviewed, you know the person asking the questions is in for a roast.

It's happened with Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers, and — indeed — Conan O'Brien, but in the one-hour live SiriusXM interview above, the latter takes even more shots than usual.

"Oh, you're not Jay Leno!" says Short as he hugs O'Brien, referring to the old feud between the late night hosts, before expressing surprise at seeing O'Brien because he assumed he'd be in Washington for Donald Trump's birthday parade. "It must have been so weird for you, that whole Elon/Trump fight. Kind of your Sophie's Choice, who do you pick?"

And that's just the first minute of a 45-minute interview.
