Girls are tougher than gods in the trailer for Disney's 'Moana'

Disney's Moana looks to be an adventure of oceanic proportions. Starring Dwayne Johnson as Maui (shape-shifter, demigod of the wind and sea, hero of men) and Auli’i Cravalho as the heroine on a quest to find him and save her people.

Legend has it that a hero will unite with Maui to save Moana's people, but from the look of this trailer, she's the one saving him. Moana shares a bond with the ocean, a bond which comes in handy as she and Maui (and the scene-stealing rooster Hei Hei) journey across the seas.

Directed by Disney vets Ron Clements and John Musker, the film will also feature new original music from Lin-Manuel Miranda, Opetaia Foa’i and Mark Mancina.

Moana will be released Nov. 23.
