Nick Offerman's appearance on Hot Ones is as delightful as you'd expect.

The comedian, who's best known for playing Ron Swanson on Parks and Recreation, is full of insights on consumer culture, masculinity, and the merits of building your own furniture, even if it's ugly. There are also plenty of fun anecdotes in this episode, from Offerman's attempt to land a role in Lord of the Rings to the time he met Mr. T.

Refreshingly, Offerman seems to be cool with the perhaps-too-long second life his iconic character has enjoyed online.

"I'm always grateful, knowing how the internet operates, that no one makes a huge ass out of me, that people are generally kind to me or use me to get a laugh," he says. "I was just glad to get a good acting job, so the fact that it has life beyond that... is good free advertising."

As for the hot sauce, he handles it relatively well. Despite clearly struggling by the end of the clip, he still opts for The Last Dab. "If you're gonna do a job, do it right," he says.
