The latest teaser for Nosferatu, from The Witch and The Northman director Robert Eggers, is here to haunt your dreams — and maybe seduce you too.

The film reimagines F.W. Murnau's 1922 horror classic of the same name, with Bill Skarsgård stepping into Max Schreck's shoes as the vampiric Count Orlok. Nosferatu's trailer keeps Skarsgård's final transformation fairly hidden, but some shadowy profiles and clawed fingers are enough to evoke dread in any viewer's heart.

Instead, the trailer spends more time with married couple Thomas and Ellen Hutter (Nicholas Hoult and Lily-Rose Depp), who find themselves caught in Orlok's web. Ellen, who's been haunted by strange spells and visions since childhood, is especially affected as the object of Orlok's infatuation. Will she be able to break free of his evil? Or will she succumb to the darkness?

Nosferatu hits theaters Dec. 25.
