No need to overthink it — sometimes, in order to start the day off right, you might just want to watch Oscar Isaac cuddling puppies.

In the clip above from The Late Show, Stephen Colbert enlists the actor's help in trying to get some rescue dogs adopted on behalf of North Shore Animal League. This involves staring at the camera, introducing the pup, and then telling an adorable lie about it — everything from "Sterling has memorised all the bathroom codes to every Starbucks in the country" to "Goose was one of my co-stars in the movie Dune. She played the most challenging role of all: Timmy Chalamet's soft, fluffy hair."

Glorious.
