Watch as ping-pong balls and mouse traps illustrate the power of social distancing

The Ohio Department of Health wants you to know that social distancing does work to slow the spread of the coronavirus. To show you how, it's enlisted the help of some inanimate objects.

In the PSA above, a single ping-pong ball falls onto tightly packed mouse traps each with ping-pong balls sitting atop. Chaos ensues (along with some very dramatic music) as the once perfectly arranged rows of traps and ping-pong balls are upset.

But there is still time for redemption. The latter half of the video shows almost the same scene, yet with plenty of space between all of the traps. The ping-pong ball bounces its way safely across the floor, without disrupting any of the items.

So next time you entertain the idea of going out with your friends for a quick (even socially-distant) walk, imagine all of you are that solitary ping-pong ball and think again.
