Subway rats wage war over a churro because the world wasn't ruthless enough already

If there is one thing we can count on in this world, it's that subway rats will go viral.

We've had pizza rat, we've had double pizza rats, and now, thanks to the untamed wilds of New York City, we have a new set of internet stars: churro rats.

As we can see in the video above, two rough NYC rodents found themselves a tasty fried snack. And honestly, who wouldn't want a churro on the subway.

But the challenge is — there are two rats and only one churro. And these rats are NOT about to share with each other. So begins a ruthless rat race for the perfect subway meal.

To make the video even better, the strains of a dramatic acoustic guitar can be heard in the background, providing excellent ambiance for this underground battle.

Good luck, churro rats, and may the odds be ever in your favor.
