Following a week of outrage, Samantha Bee opened Wednesday's episode of Full Frontal by again apologizing for calling Ivanka Trump a "feckless cunt."

The comment came from last week's episode, when Bee criticized Ivanka Trump for not doing anything against her father's immigration policies that are pulling migrant families apart.

"I hate that this distracted from more important issues," Bee said in her opening monologue. "I should've known that a potty-mouthed insult would be inherently more interesting to [the media] than juvenile immigration policy."

"I would do anything to help those kids. I hate that this distracted from them, so to them I am also sorry."

Bee also told people who are "worried about the death of civility" because of her use of the c-word to not sweat it.

"I'm a comedian. People who hone their voices in basement bars while yelling back at drunk hecklers are definitely not paragons of civility," she added.

"I am, I'm really sorry that I said that word, but you know what? Civility is just nice words. Maybe we should all worry a little bit more about the niceness of our actions."

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Bee will receive extra oversight on the show as to ensure that another incident of its ilk doesn't happen again.
