The official trailer for John Woo's Silent Night has arrived, demonstrating exactly how silent this Christmas-themed action film will be.

Not to be confused with 2022 Christmas-themed action film Violent Night, Silent Night follows a father (Joel Kinnaman) who loses both his son and his voice after getting caught in the crossfire of a gang dispute. Grief-stricken and enraged by the Christmas Eve tragedy, he embarks on a self-appointed mission of vengeance, training himself to take on his son's killers.

Featuring almost no dialogue, Silent Night is directed by action veteran John Woo (Face/Off, Mission: Impossible II) and stars Kinnaman, Catalina Sandino Moreno, and Scott Mescudi aka Kid Cudi.

Silent Night arrives in theatres Dec. 1.
