You can count me out of skiing ever again because this video of a ski lift malfunctioning is now my worst nightmare. If I want to shoot backwards at 500 mph I'll ride Mr. Freeze at Six Flags (something else I've vowed to never do again).

This chairlift at Guadari ski resort in the country of Georgia decided to traumatize and nearly kill a few people by becoming possessed, increasing its speed, and flying backwards.

According to local outlets, the accident "occurred because of negligence" by an operator, which I'm assuming means they pressed the wrong button on their two-button job. I mean, come on, it's harder to actually jump on the ski lift at the right time than operate it.

In the videos, which are hella scary, you can see passengers jump off the lift early to avoid the pile up of chairs swinging so hard they fly off the rail. A few passengers stay on to get horrifyingly crushed between the metal, but miraculously none of the eight injured were seriously hurt.

Warning: Don't watch the videos unless you're prepared to full on gasp at work. I personally can't wait to never go skiing again!
