Stephen Colbert's "Lord of the Rings" rap

Did you know next week is the 20th anniversary of the first Lord of the Rings movie, The Fellowship of the Ring?

Well, known mega fan Stephen Colbert does. And he's so appalled that there aren't more people making a big song and dance about it that he decided to make one himself.

"Lord of the Rings is without a doubt the greatest trilogy in movie history," the host says at the start of the video above. "And I know I may have said that many times before, but I have never, not once, rapped it. Until now."

Cue a truly brilliant rap featuring Colbert alongside Jon Batiste, Lord of the Rings actors Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Billy Boyd, Dominic Monaghan, Hugo Weaving, Andy Serkis, Orlando Bloom, and Viggo Mortensen, plus cameos from Method Man, Killer Mike, and Anna Kendrick.

Weaving pulverising Dan Brown in Elvish? Killer Mike throwing all other movie franchises in the trash? Glorious.
