Stephen Colbert on Trump's obsession with Alabama and Dorian: 'Just let it go'

Hurricane Dorian is lurking off the coast of the Carolinas after devastating the Bahamas. But even after #Sharpiegate, Donald Trump is still obsessed with Alabama, it seems.

That's what The Late Show host Stephen Colbert dug into on Thursday, addressing the president's perpetual need to incorrectly include Alabama in Dorian's direct path (in tweets or with markers), despite the National Weather Service correcting this multiple times.

"As the storm surge was flooding Charleston today, Trump stayed laser-focused on where it might have used to have been," said Colbert, highlighting four tweets from the president that insisted on old weather models that included Alabama.

"Those maps were from a week ago. You made your dumb Alabama tweet two days later when the maps looked like this, when it was clearly not going anywhere near Alabama. So, once again, all weather models show 100 percent likelihood that the path of your head goes straight where the sun don't shine."

Add to that a superb Narnia joke, and a strong note on the not-Alabama communities that will actually be left without power, and Colbert just wants Trump to "let it go."
