Four months after dropping the first tantalizing teaser for its upcoming adaptation of The BFG, Disney has released a full-length trailer for the film -- and it looks like this may be the rare Roald Dahl adaptation to actually deliver.

The story stars Sophie (pint-sized newcomer Ruby Barnhill), an orphan who discovers a secret world hidden just beyond London when she's scooped up by the title character -- a.k.a. the Big Friendly Giant (freshly minted Oscar winner Mark Rylance) -- in the dead of night.

Wonder, whimsy and fart joke upon fart joke follow.

The film, directed by Steven Spielberg, rumbles into theaters July 1.
