Auroras attract photographers like bees to honey, but Che McPherson's timelapse of the southern lights, a.k.a. the aurora australis, over Queenstown, New Zealand on Sunday will certainly inspire awe.

"[This] aurora was a little different to the ones I’ve seen before," McPherson told Storyful. "This was beautifully dancing as it lit up the sky, with the most intense green I have seen from any aurora."

It's certainly something that doesn't look like it belongs on planet Earth, if you ask us.
