Sportsmen are known to bring up milestones in a grand way. But of late, a new trend has befallen them.

Dabbing. That involves people pointing one arm upwards towards the sky while also bowing their head into their other arm.

The latest to join the club is Pakistan-born Australian cricketer Usman Khwaja, who brought up his half-century at the Sydney Cricket Ground in style.

Uzzie, as he's popularly known, is not the first sportsman to dab though.

The dance move, which originated in the rap circuit of Atlanta, was popularized on-field by American rugby footballer Cam Newton. A compilation of his dabs can be viewed here.

The move has also made its way to European football.
