Comic book movies have become so frequent that by now we mostly accept that they’re moving beyond origin stories (with the sadly notable exception of Amazing Spider-Man) to tackle the plot lines of specific issues within various comic book series.

X-Men: Days of Future Past is based on two 1981 issues of the Uncanny X-Men series. Our CineFix series, What's the Difference, explores how the comic book (and the weighty X-Men lore that comes with it) was neatly streamlined into a motion picture.
