LONDON -- The Doctor Who Christmas special is a staple of festive viewing, so it's only right that we're treated to weekly announcements teasing the sci-fi adventures soon to take place.

Following the synopsis and special guest announcements on Nov. 24, the BBC has revealed a new photo from the episode as well as its title, "The Husbands of River Song."

The title points toward the previously announced return of River Song, played by Alex Kingston, and her relationship with the ever-regenerating Doctor.

On top of this, Whovians will see the return of the Doctor's sonic screwdriver, which has been absent from the show since it was lost to Davros in "The Magicians Apprentice."
