David Bowie was supposed to appear in the 'Twin Peaks' revival
The late David Bowie did it all; Acting, writing, directing, singing and more. The loss of his unique artistic identity shook the entertainment community when Bowie died on Jan. 11.
Though the artist was ill at the end of his life, he continued working throughout: He released a new album right before he died, had just written a play, and, as it turns out, he was in talks to appear in Showtime's upcoming reboot of Twin Peaks.

Bowie played Phillip Jeffries in the 1992 film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me. Actor Harry Goaz recently revealed that a Bowie cameo was expected for the 2017 revival.
Jeffries was not a major character, but his appearance would have been an extra nod to longtime Twin Peaks fans. Little is known about Showtime's reboot, but another missed Bowie performance still stings.
