We'll have to wait longer for Apple's 'Carpool Karaoke'
We'll have to wait a bit longer for the new Carpool Karaoke.
The spinoff from CBS' The Late Late Show with James Corden, which was scheduled for an April launch on Apple Music, has been delayed, according to Reuters.
According to the report, Apple was originally scheduled to launch a premiere party for the series in March, but that was postponed without explanation. Another premiere party should've been held this week, but it was once again postponed, to next Monday.
So when will the series air? Apple and CBS wouldn't say beyond confirming it will premiere "later this year."
Carpool Karaoke is the first original video series to air exclusively on Apple Music. Scheduled for sixteen 30-minute episodes, it will feature interviews with numerous celebs, including Will Smith, Shaq, Metallica, John Cena, and Alicia Keys.
The format will be a bit different from the original segment; instead of merely singing tunes in a car with James Corden, at the wheel, celebrities will be paired up and spend the day together. Don't worry, though, there will definitely be some singing, as seen in the first trailer for the show, which came out in February.
