Chris Evans gave his good dog a terrible quarantine haircut

Poor Dodger.

Chris Evans is a man of many talents, but giving his dog a fresh and stylish haircut is not one of them.

On Monday, Evans told his newly acquired 2.6 million Instagram followers that he attempted to give his beloved rescue dog, Dodger, a quarantine haircut. Unfortunately for Dodger, things did not go according to plan.

Evans shared a photo of Dodger's back and explained, "I assured him I knew what I was doing. He seemed skeptical at first, but with the help of a few treats, I talked him into it." If you look at the pup closely, however, you'll notice a white patch (or four) where Evans clearly shaved off a little too much fur.

"It went so wrong, so fast. I guess some things are better left to the professionals," Evans concluded.

Evans and Dodger have been through a lot together since they became family back in 2016, so we don't think Dodger would be too upset by this mistake. The two met while Evans was filming Gifted and over the years Dodger's charmed us all with his general cuteness, remarkable singing voice, and next-level fashion sense.

Per the Instagram post, Dodger has yet to see his quarantine haircut in the mirror yet, but Evans told him it looks great. It feels to me, however, like the only way to make up for this accident is for Evans to shave a portion of his head in solidarity.

Evans has only been on Instagram for a few days, so we hope we'll be seeing a great deal of Dodger content in the future. The actor shared his first Instagram video on Friday to announce that he's taking part in the #ALLINCHALLENGE, which was created to help benefit food organizations like Meals on Wheels, No Kid Hungry, and Feeding America.

Here's hoping Evans' next Instagram post is a photo of his own terrible quarantine haircut.
