Instagram just rolled out an update that copies competes with Snapchat, and made the internet pretty unhappy. But it has upsides for some people.

The popular picture app changed things up on another front: comments. The social media platform has been quietly testing out another feature that can eliminate offensive comments from view and possibly rid the app of mean trolls.

Chrissy Teigen has one of the lucky high-profile accounts that can now filter out inappropriate comments with particular keywords. On Tuesday, the model and cookbook author used Twitter to thank Instagram for the update, and posted a picture of a new feature.

Some of her key words include funny omissions like "Trump" and "colon," but most of them are sad reminders of the type of verbal abuse that circles the internet's drain. It appears that the platform has a default list of keywords available for activation that include swear words and derogatory terms.

"Our goal is to make Instagram a friendly, fun and, most importantly, safe place for self expression," Instagram’s director of public policy, Nicky Jackson Colaco told The Post. "We have slowly begun to offer accounts with high volume comment threads the option to moderate their comment experience."

As we previously reported, the feature will eventually be available for other users.
