India demonetized 86 percent of its currency to curb black money and counterfeiting but that did not discourage this 24-year-old dude from trying his hand at spoofing the new Rs 2,000 currency bill to get high.

Mumbai resident Tushar Chitale made a color photocopy of the Rs 2,000 note, thinking it will go unnoticed by vendors. He then tried buying beer using his improvised Rs 2,000 note but was promptly caught and handed over to the cops.

Since the Rs 2,000 notes are fairly new and have been circulated in limited numbers, he assumed he would be able to pass off the fake one since not many people have seen the new bill, yet.
