From the heartbreaking Orlando shootings to the death of singer Christina Grimmie, the past week has been a difficult one.

Instagram served as a positive outlet to honor and pay tribute to the fallen, and simultaneously a place to celebrate life.

From remembering the victims of the Orlando shooting, to celebrating Hamilton’s historic night at the Tony Awards and seeing celebrities show a whole lot of love for their families and friends, here are a few of the most prevalent topics we saw on Instagram this week.

1. Orlando shooting

The world has been in mourning after the deadliest shooting in American history left 50 people dead and 53 wounded at Pulse nightclub in Orlando.

On Sunday, Instagram shared this touching tribute -- a rainbow pulse painting by @michellebarrettceramics -- to offer their love and support to the LGBT community, Orlando and the families affected by the tragedy.

2. Hamilton

The 2016 Tony Awards proved to be a very significant night for Hamilton, as the show won 11 of the 16 awards it was nominated for, including “Best Musical.”

The cast performed their songs "History Has Its Eyes On You" and "Yorktown (The World Turned Upside Down)" at the awards and eliminated muskets from their performance because of the devastating Orlando shootings.

This Official Hamilton Instagram account posted this photo captioned with the heartbreakingly beautiful sonnet for Orlando that Lin-Manuel Miranda recited in his acceptance speech.

3. Adam Levine’s tribute to Christina Grimmie

On June 10, Christina Grimmie -- singer, YouTube star and former contestant on The Voice -- was shot by a gunman in Florida while signing autographs for fans after a show.

Amongst an outpouring love and disbelief from celebrities, Adam Levine -- Grimme’s vocal coach on The Voice -- expressed his love for the singer via social media.

After hearing she had been shot, Levine posted a goofy-faced photo of the two, captioned, “I'm sad, shocked and confused. We love you so much Grimmie.”

Once he learned of the 22-year-old singer’s death he called Grimmie's mother to lend his support and offered to pay for the funeral.

4.  Zayn Malik’s concert announcement

Zayn Malik announced via social media that he would no longer be performing at the Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium in London because of his severe anxiety

The singer wrote fans an honest and heartfelt apology explaining, "Unfortunately my anxiety that has haunted me throughout the last few months around live performances has gotten the better of me...with the magnitude of the event, I have suffered the worst anxiety of my career."

Zayn’s girlfriend, Gigi Hadid, responded to the announcement via Twitter with a touching message of support for him.

5. Emilia Clarke’s Game of Thrones blooper

Game of Thrones Emilia Clarke gifted us with a behind-the-scenes blooper.

The actress, who plays Daenerys Targaryen on the show, posted a throwback video of her and her warriors, Grey Worm (Jacob Anderson) and Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), goofing around on set.

Though Grey Worm seems to be a fearsome warrior, Anderson completely failed at his cool knife twirling attempt.

Clarke also tagged actor Michiel Huisman, who plays the character Daario Naharis, and has far superior knife handling skills.

Better luck next time, Grey Worm.

6. Death Cab for Cutie and Chance the Rapper

Chance the Rapper made waves in the music industry after releasing his album Coloring Book in May and now it appears as though he may be collaborating with Washington band, Death Cab for Cutie in the future.

Death Cab posted a photo to Instagram of them with Chance at the Bonnaroo Festival. There, Chance performed Coloring Book in its entirety and Death Cab performed "I Will Follow You Into the Dark" per the rapper’s request.

After a fan asked Chance via Twitter if the picture with the band meant a collaboration was in the works, Chance replied with an exciting "Big 10-4."

7. Friday Night Lights Reunion

“Clear eyes, full hearts, can’t lose!”

The cast of Friday Night Lights returned to Panther Field to celebrate their 10-Year Anniversary at the ATX Television Festival. The beloved Connie Britton, who played supermom/wife/guidance counselor/principal Tami Taylor, reunited with our favorite Dillon, Texas residents and posted a photo to Instagram of that made our hearts oh so full.

Britton captioned the legendary group shot, “Had such a great time this weekend reuniting with #FNL folks in Austin. Thank you @atxfestival. Clear eyes, full hearts...10 years!”

Fingers crossed for a future FNL revival.

8. Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello

On Wednesday, actress Sofia Vergara dedicated a loving Instagram post to her husband Joe Manganiello in honor of their two-year anniversary.

The Modern Family star shared a photo of the two lovebirds at a red carpet event with the caption, “2yrs. Te Amo. Dont ever change.”

Here’s to many more years of love and a lifetime of anniversary Instagram posts.

9. North West’s third birthday

The prodigal child, North West -- daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West -- turned three years old on Wednesday.

Kim shared an adorable video to Instagram of North sweetly promising she wouldn't get any bigger. Kim wrote, “I can't believe my baby girl is three years old today! Northie I love you so much I can't even explain it! Happy Birthday to my favorite mermaid!”

We hope North loves her third birthday as much as Kanye loves Kanye.

10. DJ Khaled and Beyoncé

DJ Khaled posted a photograph from the Formation World Tour of him and Queen Bey.

He captioned the picture with a lengthy, motivational letter to Beyoncé and the BeyHive, thanking them for welcoming him and his music on tour. Khaled wrote, “They told me I would never tour. Well I just finished touring with the biggest artist walking the planet...Dreams come true. But you have to work hard, you gotta work very hard!”

He then referred to Beyoncé as an “icon” and excitedly gave his mom a shout out telling her, “Momma I made it!” Khaled was so excited about the picture with Beyoncé, he decided to post the exact same caption again with a different photo of the two.

Major key, indeed.
