Following the recent criminal activities and unfortunate incidents that occured since Pokémon Go launched in several countries, Japan is taking measures to ensure the safety of its people.

Rumours have been circulating since Monday that the augmented reality game is set to drop in Japan at any moment.

On Wednesday, the country's government cybersecurity agency posted on Twitter and Line a poster of how Pokémon trainers can stay safe while having fun with the game.

The poster by the National Center of Incident readiness and Strategy for Cybersecurity detailed nine steps for people to consider before getting on the app. According to a translation by Rocketnews24, they are:

1. Always protect your personal information

2. Watch out for fake apps and cheat tools

3. Download a weather app so not to be caught out by bad weather

4. Be careful of heat stroke

5. Carry around a reserve battery pack

6. Be prepared with options to contact family members

7. Do not enter dangerous areas

8. Refrain from meeting strangers who ask to meet up

9. Don't walk and use your phone

The poster comes complete with manga drawings depicting the dangerous scenarios that Pokémon trainers might find themselves in.

Now all that's left to happen is for Pokémon Go to officially launch in Japan (and the rest of Asia).
