Johnny Depp thanks fans for standing by him in People's Choice Award speech
Just after his Jan. 13 divorce settlement with Amber Heard, Johnny Depp received a People's Choice Award for Favorite Movie Icon. Depp and Heard reached a settlement after last year's restraining order and Heard's claims of domestic abuse against the actor.
"I came here for one reason tonight and one reason only...for you, the people," Depp said on stage. "Who through whatever good times or bad, have stood by me, trusted me."
The speech -- interrupted by several fans shouting their love for the actor -- reiterated the same thanks to Depp's fans.
