Firefighters rescuing 4 kittens from blaze captured by helmet camera

The kittens were reunited with their mother who returned to the scene.

Rescue workers for the Turlock Fire Department in California were dispatched to a fire early Monday morning, where they successfully rescued four adorable kittens from the blaze. 

Body cameras captured the scene as firefighters demolished a fence blocking their path to the fire, which was located on the side of a building.

Next, the firefighters were able to douse the flames before the fire spread to the interior of the home.

During overhauling, a process in which firefighters ensure the entirety of the flames are out will not rekindle, the rescue team discovered four kittens.

"Hey chief, I've got two victims," one fireman said after discovering the first two cats. The team then rinsed the cats which were covered in firefighting foam used to battle the blaze.

Continuing the overhauling process, the firefighters discovered two more kittens.

The fire department explains in the video description that the mother of the kittens returned while the crew was cleaning up the scene, and the kittens were reunited. 

The source of the fire is unknown.
