Marathon runner proposes to girlfriend minutes from finish line and it's too sweet
As crowds gathered to cheer on runners competing in the London Marathon on Sunday, one runner stopped minutes away from the finish line to do something very romantic.
Runner Jon Higgins paused 24 miles in to the 26 mile marathon to get down on bended knee and propose to his girlfriend of four years, Amy.

Hundreds of spectators cheered on Higgins -- who's from Flixton, Manchester -- as he reached for the ring, which he'd tied to a cord around his wrist.
Higgins was raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and the charity tweeted a video of the proposal, adding they were "so happy she said yes."
"Jon has come through months of tough training for the 26.2 mile race to beat cystic fibrosis for his daughter Eva, aged 9 who lives with the devastating life-long condition," read a statement from the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
The charity added that the couple's family and friends were in the crowd when Higgins proposed, and some were moved to tears.
Congrats to the happy couple!
