Michael Douglas decided to get the first word on a sexual misconduct allegation made against him by speaking about them before the allegation even became public.

Douglas told Deadline he is being accused of masturbating in front of a former employee and he denies the allegation, Deadline reported Tuesday night.

Douglas said he wanted to get ahead of the story before the two publications, The Hollywood Reporter and Variety, published and shaped the narrative. The actor explained the allegations that were being made against him in an interview with Deadline:

She claims that, One, I used colorful language in front of her, not at her, but that I used colorful language. Two, she claims that in conversations I had in front of her, on the phone, that I spoke raunchily, or dirtily with friends of mine, in private conversations. I fired her eventually, for the work she was doing, but Three, she claims that I blackballed her from the industry and stopped her form getting another job.

And then, Four, she claims that I masturbated in front of her.

Douglas did not name the former employee making the claim. He apologized for using colorful language in front of her and denied masturbating in front of her and blackballing her from the industry.

"I'd confess to anything I thought I was responsible for," Douglas told Deadline.

Douglas also mentioned he supports the #MeToo movement "with all my heart." OK!

As of the publishing time on this article, neither Variety nor The Hollywood Reporter have published a story detailing any allegations of sexual misconduct aimed at Douglas.
