LOS ANGELES -- Sunday night football just got a little easier to stream.

Beginning Dec. 4, CBS All Access -- the network's digital subscription video on demand and live streaming service -- will offer subscribers the ability to watch regular, preseason and postseason NFL games.

CBS and the NFL announced the multiyear deal Thursday. Subscribers will also be able to sample content from NFL Game Pass, the NFL’s digital video subscription service which makes games and other programming available on-demand.

This is the latest of CBS' efforts to up its offerings on its streaming service, as more networks continue to jump into the already crowded SVOD space.

Also headed to CBS' digital platform: Star Trek: Discovery and a spinoff of The Good Wife, both slated to premiere next year.

"Adding the most watched programming on television, to the most watched network on television, will be a powerful combination as we continue to grow CBS All Access into the future," Leslie Moonves, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the CBS Corporation, said in a statement.

The deal also underscores NFL's efforts to expand its overall reach. The NFL has already partnered up with digital platforms before, most notably Yahoo and Twitter, at a time when TV ratings are stagnant or in decline.

CBS All Access charges users $6 a month with commercials running on everything except for classic shows from the CBS library.
