Nokia's flagship smartphone to be announced on Aug. 16
The widely leaked Nokia 8 is arriving a bit later than expected.
While some rumors pointed to an end-of-July release, HMD Global (the owner of Nokia brand) has started pinging media outlets about an August 16 event in London.
Nokia confirmed the event with Mashable but did not share any info about the new phone. We've seen the device in a number of leaked photos, though, including00

The Nokia 8 is generally perceived to be the first "true" flagship of the new, new Nokia, which so far only released low- and mid-tier Android devices and feature phones. It is rumored to have a 5.3-inch screen, a Snapdragon 835 chipset with 4/6GB of RAM, dual 13-megapixel cameras with Zeiss branding and Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
We'll be following the launch event in August so stay tuned for more news.
