RBG, Twitter is down on its knees, begging you to please stay
Many of us started this week thinking it couldn't get any worse.
Oh, how young we were then.
After a week of devastating decisions by the Supreme Court, including a decision in favor of Trump's Muslim ban, Justice Anthony Kennedy announced he'd be retiring on Wednesday. This leaves room for Trump to appoint yet another justice -- presumably one who is anti-choice and anti-LGBTQ rights.
On Twitter, liberals politely begged 85-year-old Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg to do everything she could to hang on.
At the risk of making everyone more depressed, it's important to note that RBG's voting power will weaken, now that conservatives will enjoy a 6-3 majority with Trump's new appointee. Prior, Kennedy served as a swing vote, and occasionally agreed with the court's liberal minority.
Now, just -- fuck.
Either way, it's nice for many of of us out here to see RBG, a person with a soul, continue to have a role on SCOTUS.
Listen to their pleas:
