Stacey Dash brought the absolute cringe-iest moment to the Oscars
This was probably the first and last time Stacey Dash will be seen at the Oscars.
The Clueless actress tried to prove she had a sense of humor about the controversy over her comments on the #OscarsSoWhite boycott. To show that she "gets it," she appeared on stage for a joke with host, Chris Rock.

In January, Dash said on Fox News that boycotting the Oscars was "ludicrous" and that Black History Month should be abolished because it encourages segregation.
When she appeared on stage, she said "Happy Black History Month," to which she was met with deafening silence from the audience.

Dash wrote a post on Patheos.com on her appearance at the Oscars. She didn't take back anything she had previously said, she just wanted to let everyone know she had that sense of humor.
"When they added me to increase the diversity, I’m sure many black people rolled their eyes," Dash wrote. "I’m the actress from the South Bronx who has always dreamed of winning an Oscar. But God has a great sense of humor and this is my first encounter with one of my dreams of destiny. Bringing diversity to Hollywood… not merely because of color, but politics as well."
It did little to win over Twitter.
