You're never too old to make a bucket list.

Just ask Tigger, a 21-year-old cat whose current owner, Adriene Nicole, adopted him when he was 20 years old -- in human years.

When Nicole found Tigger, he was in bad shape. He'd just been abandoned by his former owners -- for reasons that remain a mystery.

"Tigger was skinny, matted to the skin and drinking up to a gallon of water a day," Nicole wrote on Tigger's Facebook page. The cat was also suffering from kidney failure, and he had a golf ball-sized tumor on his body. Nicole knew that his time was limited.

But after quite a bit of TLC, Nicole and her boyfriend were able to nurse Tigger back to relatively good health -- you know, for a 21-year-old cat.

From there, they set out to give Tigger the best final days possible.

Tigger spent a relaxing day at the beach.

And a delightful birthday, for that matter.

He even ate some delicious waffle fries.

And took lots of naps, because a bucket list without naps is no bucket list at all.

Although Tigger's adventures might seem insignificant to some, they are a big deal for him.

"Though it might not be much to others, all the little trips outside are a blast for him [Tigger] because he loves to be outdoors … the beach being his favorite so far,” Nicole wrote.

"The most important part is that Tigger's story just shows how amazing it is to adopt a geriatric pet and give them the best remaining days," she added.
