2023 is turning out to be a big year in theaters for holiday-themed bloodbaths. The official trailer for It's a Wonderful Knife has been released, teasing a slasher horror take on classic Christmas film It's a Wonderful Life.

It's a Wonderful Knife follows Winnie (Yellowjackets' Jane Widdop), a traumatised young woman who is still haunted by her encounter with a masked killer last Christmas Eve. Struggling to get into the holiday spirit and feeling that everyone would be happier without her, Winnie wishes that she'd never been born.

Unfortunately, her wish quickly comes true. Winnie soon finds herself transported to a parallel universe where she never existed, meaning nobody recognises her — and she also was never around to stop the masked murderer from continuing his Christmas killing spree.

In addition to Widdop, It's a Wonderful Knife also features Cassandra Naud, Justin Long, and Joel McHale.

It's a Wonderful Knife lands in theatres Nov. 10.
