An unnamed Russian man saved the day after a dog fell through the ice into a freezing pond and was unable to escape.
Alexander Levashov came upon the scene and started filming the freezing canine while he waited for emergency crews to arrive, when suddenly a shirtless man started running towards the dog.
The man laid down on the ice and tried to grab the pup. Unfortunately, the dog was scared and tried to bite the man, but the shirtless hero wasn't going to give up so easy. After a good bite to the hand, the man was able to grab the scruff of the dog's neck and yank it to safety.
Clearly the man was pretty happy with the outcome, even though he did suffer a dog bite to the hand.
Levashov explains in a post on VK that emergency services showed up shortly after the dog was rescued and the man was treated for his wounds. A translated version of his story says that the dog was "rushed home."
