Buzz Aldrin, famous for going to space, is taking on a new conquest: the Olympics.

Aldrin left for Rio on Tuesday and has been making his way around the Games since. Throughout his time there, he's been posting videos to his Facebook page filled with wonderful displays of patriotism.

We can only assume he is cheering for the athletes with the same enthusiasm he used to yell at the moon on 30 Rock.

To kick off his trip, Buzz posted a photo of himself smiling on an airplane.

Like all of us, Buzz is a huge fan of the U.S. women's gymnastics team.

This is a video consisting mostly of the back of his head while the gymnasts receive their medals.

Even when no Americans are competing, he's supportive.

He was super proud of Phelps and Ledecky for earning gold medals.

He showed off his bracelet with skulls and his support for Phelps.

Also, this happened.
