Movies have been taking a backseat to TV shows at Comic-Con for a few years now, but you need look no further than the cornucopia of televisual goodness that was released at this year's SDCC to get a sense of just how definitively the tide has turned.

Less than a dozen movie trailers were made available by the studios following their Comic-Con panels, while there are at least 40 TV promos and clips floating around the interwebs after hitting San Diego this weekend (that we know of -- we're pretty sleep deprived, so there's a good chance we've missed some).

With that in mind, we've ranked our top five TV trailers from Comic-Con 2017 -- based on the sheer wattage of glee they elicited in the room -- and then we just gave up trying to put the rest in any semblance of order and decided to go alphabetically instead. Tell your loved ones that you'll miss them and strap in for the ride:

1. Stranger Things

The Netflix smash made its Comic-Con debut in Hall H this year, and the reaction to this trailer was roughly equivalent to that of Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War footage. The fans were straight-up rapturous, and with good reason, as the promo gives us our first glimpse of Eleven's return, along with some deeply creepy Upside Down shenanigans.

2. Westworld

The panel for HBO's high-concept sci-fi series steered clear of any Season 2 plot details, but showrunners Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy made it up to us with this rip-roaring teaser, which offers an intriguing hint about Samurai World and allows poor, abused Dolores and Teddy to get their revenge on the park guests who have so enjoyed torturing them. These violent delights have violent ends, indeed.

3. The Walking Dead

Following the on-set death of stuntman John Bernecker, the cast and creative team of TV's #1 series almost skipped Comic-Con altogether, but instead chose to conduct a panel that was wholly for the fans -- with no celebrity moderator and a full hour of fan Q&A, plus this powerful trailer for Season 8. The hopeful tone of the footage marks a refreshing change from the sorrows of Season 7, but the most intriguing moment comes at the very end, when we see what appears to be a much older version of Rick waking up in what looks like a hospital bed, sparking wild speculation about what it all means.

4. Star Trek: Discovery

Star Trek: Discovery has taken a long time to get here, but judging by the reaction to this trailer, it's more than worth the wait. In a panel that also revealed that series lead Sonequa Martin-Green is playing Spock's stepsister, this extended trailer ensured that the audience's faces were set to stunned.

5. Game of Thrones

This was the first year when Comic-Con coincided with the show's airing schedule, meaning that fans were actually able to get a glimpse of upcoming episodes before they premiered. (We also got a Q&A moderated by Hodor himself, which was all kinds of adorable, even before Alfie Allen showed up with a puppy.) We were all pretty hyped about seeing Melisandre telling Daenerys that she should meet Jon Snow in the Comic-Con teaser, right up until HBO dropped a new promo that actually shows them meeting last night.
