They say you're too busy on your wedding day to enjoy a slice of your own wedding cake. You might as well make it interesting to look at, then.

These cakes are beautiful, fun or quirky, perhaps too unique to smash into your new spouse's face.

1. Rose petal cake

This dainty cake may get confused for a floral arrangement.

2. LEGO cake

Great for the couple who never grew up. This isn't the first LEGO-themed wedding cake we've seen, though.

3. Marble cake

A great idea if your color scheme has variety: Blend them into a stone-looking swirl.

4. Birch wood cake

Birch trees are beautiful inspiration for an earth-tone wedding.

5. Galaxy cake

Because your love is out of this world.

6. Tree carving cake

Carving into an actual tree does permanent damage, so why not carve into a delicious cake instead?

 7. Abstract cake

For the minimalist couple bringing their guests into the future.

8. Gravity defying cake

We have no idea how this is staying up, but maybe the couple are both physicists who can explain this cake.

9. Watercolor and geometric cake

Because you got your wedding gown at Urban Outfitters.

10. Kind of sad cake

Or, inspiring, depending on if you read from the bottom up rather than the top down.

11. Feather and bubbles cake

When you get to the actual cake part, let us know.

12. Cube cake

OK, someone preserve this cake so we can buy it on Anthropologie and display it in our living room.

13. Chalkboard cake

You could write your names and wedding date, or you could portion out the slices and write guest's names on every slice.

14. Painting cake

This portrait of Van Gogh's Starry Night makes for a beautiful cake, but we'd love to see the botched Jesus painting make its wedding debut.

15. Glowing tiers cake

Just make sure the cake is fully charged before your special day.

16. Geode cake

Perhaps it's for an archeologist couple and they've decorated with these colorful rocks. Indiana Jones would be honored.

17.

"Wooden" cake

We assume this was for a lumberjack wedding in a forest, and the bridal party wore plaid. We loved its predecessor, too.

18. Mosaic cake

Much like your love, a bunch of small pieces came together to make something beautiful on this cake. Yes, you have permission to use this cheesiness in your vows.
