NFL reportedly in talks with Lady Gaga for Super Bowl halftime show
When it rains in Gaga-land, it pours. She might still be cooling off from her latest single, but the Grammy winning artist is reportedly in talks to perform at the 2017 Super Bowl halftime show.
Citing anonymous sources, Billboard reports that the singer and the NFL are having conversations. Officially, the NFL told the music publication,"We have had conversations with several fantastic artists about the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show. However, at this point we do not have a final decision."
It seems a natural progression for the NFL to approach Gaga, whose performance of the national anthem at Super Bowl 50 was compared to Whitney Houston. In fact, some of Gaga's most talked-about moments in the years of Born This Way and Artpop (otherwise known as the post-meat dress years) have been at awards shows and events devoted to other subjects, such as her Sound of Music medley at the Oscars and her David Bowie tribute at the 2016 Grammys.

Returning to the field in 2017 would mean Gaga could perform brand new material -- like her just-dropped single "Perfect Illusion" -- as well as other tracks from the album she is expected to release later this year.
A rep for the singer did not immediately respond to Mashable's request for comment.
