U.S. Coast Guard goes on special mission to return rehabilitated seal to the wild
There's no place like home, even when you're a seal.
The U.S. Coast Guard was proud to post a video on Facebook of a rehabilitated harbor seal that they helped return to the wild on Sunday.

The mission was a collaboration between the U.S. Coast Guard's Auxiliary crew and the Progressive Animal Welfare Society (PAWS).
"Saving lives at sea is one of the Coast Guard's and U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary's top missions - in fact, on an average day, the Coast Guard saves 10 lives," the U.S. Coast Guard wrote on Facebook. "But it's not every day #USCG Auxiliary crews get to help PAWS - Progressive Animal Welfare Society release a rehabilitated harbor seal back into the wild."
The post gave no further information of what was done to rehabilitate the seal or what had incapacitated it in the first place. However, the adorable animal looks especially pleased to be back where it belongs.
